Interests: raindrops and ripples, the crisp scent of an autumn day, pristine snow covered fields, wood grain of the old gnarled oak, homemade cookies (especially when made by your friends), starlight, soft smiles of contentment, dragonfly wings, ponytails...
Expertise: Expertise is for the experts... the ones who know it all. I do not pretend to lay claim to this for myself. To him that has much knowledge and wisdom may say they have expertise. Yet who is it that may call themself expert? "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?" As for me... I am but an apprentice.

*Smile* Memories ... ”

Saturday, March 10, 2007

Sun is setting. Days are waning.

If only becomes a constant mantra. opportunities

Lost. past.gone. forgotten.

Eventually the moment will come.

Nothing said. time runs

Confidence drains. world turns.

Ever waiting. until eternity.

Too often we let our peace be disrupted by the stresses of life... but every once in a while, the turmoil is broken by a blessing of stillness. Moments when it’s like living in a snow globe world. A realm of calm and tranquility, protected from the troubles of life. A place where time stands still... and every moment seems magical.

Time spent counting infinity. Laughter muffled by the whisper of the falling snow. Moments which you wish could last forever...

Yet there comes a point where reality comes chipping at the glass. A bitter wind reminds you that it is not a snow globe world in which we live. Life continues on, and you must put the snow globe down once again.

The snow globe collects dust on the shelf and is forgotten, but the moments last forever...

... in blessed memory.

The best kind of friend

Is one with which you can spend hours

and not say a thing.

But sit in silence and know

... that they know.
